FAQ
To make an appointment, you have several options:
- You can do this online via Doctoranytime. To do this, click on this link to access my profile, select the date, time and office that suits you from the available slots, and confirm your appointment. You will then receive a confirmation by email and SMS, as well as a reminder SMS the day before our consultation.
- You can also make an appointment by telephone on 0479 52 13 95. If I am not available, leave me a voice message with your name and contact details, and I will call you back as soon as possible. You can also send me an SMS or a message via WhatsApp to this same number.
No, it is not necessary to have a medical prescription to consult an osteopath in Belgium. Osteopaths are front-line practitioners, which means that you can consult them directly without going through a general practitioner or specialist first. Osteopaths are trained to provide a diagnosis to exclude serious pathologies before starting their treatment.
In Belgium, osteopathy is partially reimbursed by most mutual insurance companies. Each mutual has its own conditions and reimbursement amounts, so it is important to check with your specific mutual for exact details. In general, between six and ten consultations per year are reimbursed at €10 to €15 per session. To benefit from reimbursement from the mutual, it is necessary to provide them with the certificate of care that I issue to you after each consultation.
I understand that life and its ups and downs can sometimes disrupt your schedule. If you have a setback and can no longer come to our appointment, please cancel or postpone your session at least 24 hours in advance, in order to allow other patients to benefit of this niche. You can do this by calling me, sending me an SMS or directly via Doctoranytime (note, this option is not available if cancellation is made less than 24 hours in advance). If an appointment is not canceled, it will unfortunately be charged to compensate for the time slot reserved for you .
I care for a wide range of people, from teenagers to older people, including pregnant people and athletes. However, I am not yet sufficiently trained to take care of infants and young children optimally.
French is my mother tongue, I can also receive you in English. You will see, my English is sometimes a little hesitant but we understand each other completely.
For an osteopathy session, be sure to wear comfortable, loose clothing that allows great freedom of movement. Sportswear like leggings, shorts, jogging pants or tank tops are ideal, preferable to jeans. I may ask you to partially undress to better access the areas to be treated, so it is best to bring underwear in which you feel comfortable. If removing an item of clothing bothers you, do not hesitate to talk to me before or during the session, together we will find another solution to guarantee your comfort while providing effective care. My goal is to put you at ease so that the treatment is as beneficial as possible.
Remember to bring all relevant medical documents, such as X-ray results, MRI (images and protocols), medical reports or any other records related to your condition, as this will help me better understand your situation.
Write down your symptoms, their location, intensity and frequency, and try to remember any events or trauma that could be related to your pain or discomfort.
Remember your medical history, any surgeries you've had, and any medications you're taking.
Also think about any questions you would like to ask me, whether they relate to the treatment, duration of therapy, exercises to do at home, etc.
Finally, for your comfort, make sure you are well hydrated and have had a light meal before your session, avoiding heavy meals just before the consultation.
